[For Adults] This class is designed for adult newcomers to Albany who have some basic English language skills and are looking to improve their fluency and communication abilities.

Are you a fiber crafter? Does your family have all the hand knitted or crocheted hats, scarves, mittens, or shawls that they could possibly use in this lifetime? Do you have a passion and skill for making hand-knitted or crocheted garments?

Come hang out after school with video games, crafts, and more!

[For ages 9-17] Play various video games including Smash Brothers, Tekken, NBA 2K22 on the Nintendo Switch or PS4 with your friends! 

[For Ages 13-17] Clash your favorite gaming icons in the ultimate showdown. Tweens and Teens are invited to bring their friends and play Super Smash. Come see if you are good enough to beat our library gamers!

Bring your child to the library to tie-dye their very own stuffed animal! This workshop will involve stuffing our new friends, then using mess-free dye to decorate them. Plus- they get to make a special wish on a star! Supplies are limited.

Join us this Saturday as we celebrate AAPI month through stories and music provided by Daisy "Jungtzu" Lin, the Director & Instructor of O MUSE Music Arts Academy in Clifton Park. Bring the whole family and enjoy Saturday at the library!

[For ages 0-18 months] Please join us in our Youth Services Room for stories, fingerplays, songs, and rhymes for children ages 0 to 18 months and their caregiver.

Come Join us at the Howe Branch or on Zoom to get some light movement in to start your week off right! Please Make sure to bring a water bottle, walking shoes and to wear comfortable clothing for movement i.e. Leggings and a tee shirt.

Come to Howe to make a lovely Father's Day card to tell your father or other caregiver in your life how much you care. Ask for the card base at the desk!

Calling all parents, care-givers, and day-care providers! Bring your babies and toddlers for a fun half hour of stories, rhymes, and songs! 

Recharge your spirit at our monthly creative art gathering designed for comfort and connection. it’s a stress-free sanctuary where the music is smooth, and the creativity flows at your own pace.

Learn how to express yourself clearly and imaginatively, share your work, and respond to the stories of others. Attend any or all sessions. Facilitated by Misty Yarnall. This program is online and conducted via Zoom.

[Ages 13-17] Hang out with fellow teen artists every Monday after school and use art supplies to doodle, sketch, or make whatever kind of art you want! In addition, every week will feature examples from notable artists and artistic movements.

[For ages 5-14] Calling all little Makers! Along with access to all of the Albany Made Lab equipment, Mini Makers will be able to use some of our favorite Youth Services gadgets and tools.

Step into our monthly relaxing post-work retreat where creativity flows and stress fades. Express your deep essence while smooth, soulful music sets the mood. No experience needed, just bring your imagination and let the rhythm guide you.
