Explore the cosmos from the comfort of your local library! Through crafts, experiments, presentations and more, we will learn about the vast universe we inhabit. Expand your knowledge and hang out with fellow outer-space lovers.

[Ages 13-17] This special edition of "Artists Unite" will feature the art of Jean-Michel Basquiat. After a short video and discussion, artists will work-shop their own projects inspired by his work. 

[For ages 5-14] Calling all little Makers! Along with access to all of the Albany Made Lab equipment, Mini Makers will be able to use some of our favorite Youth Services gadgets and tools.

Step into our monthly relaxing post-work retreat where creativity flows and stress fades. Paint your own emotional while smooth, soulful music sets the mood.

[For Adults and Children Ages 6+] Calling all Artists, Crafters, Makers and Menders! Stop by the self-directed open hours and start (or finish) something!

Join us every Tuesday after school for crafts and fun at Arbor Hill West Hill!

Learn to sew! This class is hosted by Stitch Exchange. Newly arrived immigrants volunteer as sewing instructors and assist you with your sewing projects while practicing their English language skills.

[For ages 5-17] Ever want to build a car that flies? Or a house with a tail? We have bricks and building challenges for every level of LEGO builder.

[Ages 18+] Bring your knitting, crochet, needle work, coloring, or any other craft you've been working on to our monthly meeting where we talk, laugh, and enjoy a movie. 

[Adults] Caregivers, stop in with your group for various activities for all abilities. Crafts, Legos, quiet time, coloring, movies... there's no limit to the fun we'll have! Call 518-427-4300 ext.

[Adults 18+] We welcome any kind of knitting, crocheting, quilting or needlework. Is it a hobby that you enjoyed in the past and would like to get back to? You can bring a project that you’re working on, or one that you want to start.

[10-17] "I Can't Believe It's Not An Anime Club!?: For Teens!" is not your normal type of club. It's a Manga club, a drawing club and a discution club where you can talk about new and upcoming mangas, games, cosplays/styles and yes even anime.

Stop by the branch to meet experienced stitchers and embroiderers from Stitching Exchange who can assist you with your sewing questions and projects.

February is a month of love, so let's make our very own love bugs with cardboard tubes, pipe cleaners, and construction paper. This makes a cute Valentine's decoration to keep or give to someone else.

Join us after school twice a month for different projects and crafts at our Crafternoons!

[5-17 and Care Takers] The Winter Olympics is here! What better way to celebrate the first day of the Winter Olympics then with a family fun challenge! Get ready for games of trivia, skill and creativity! 

[For children 0-10 and their caregivers.] Celebrate Take Your Child to the Library Day with us this morning! Join our owl mascot, Bleecker, for a special owl-themed storytime, followed by a chance to take photos with Bleecker!

2026 is the Year of the Horse! Celebrate Chinese New Year with a take & make horse craft. Bring home instructions on how to create your own paper horse. 

[Ages 13-17] Hang out with fellow teen artists every Monday after school and use art supplies to doodle, sketch, or make whatever kind of art you want! In addition, every week will feature examples from notable artists and artistic movements.
