Come hang out after school with video games, crafts, and more!

Come and create! We'll offer various building kits for children to explore and use to design whatever comes to their imagination.

[For ages 9-17] Play various video games including Smash Brothers, Tekken, NBA 2K22 on the Nintendo Switch or PS4 with your friends! 

[For Ages 13-17] Clash your favorite gaming icons in the ultimate showdown. Tweens and Teens are invited to bring their friends and play Super Smash. Come see if you are good enough to beat our library gamers!

Come make Pride-themed buttons with us! We'll have the button maker out at the reference desk as we celebrate LGBTQIA+ visibility and rights.

This one-of-a-kind challenge will test your skills with rubber chicken finger slingshots. Aim for our special board & the person with the highest score wins! No registration necessary.

[Adults] Welcome to APL's LGBT+ book club. This is an all-inclusive book club where we read fiction and non-fiction books that center around queer ideas, stories, and experiences. 

[For Ages 0-5] Join us as we celebrate our Growing Readers who are heading off to kindergarten with their very own graduation celebration.

Representatives from the African Burial Ground at Historic St. Agnes Cemetery will be hosting a presentation to discuss the history of 14 sets of human remains found in an unmarked burial site in Menands, New York in 2005.

Get ready for Uno - But extreme! Join us at the Howe Branch to play Uno with new twists and turns. For kids and teens.

[For ages 0-18 months] Please join us in our Youth Services Room for stories, fingerplays, songs, and rhymes for children ages 0 to 18 months and their caregiver.

Come Join us at the Howe Branch or on Zoom to get some light movement in to start your week off right! Please Make sure to bring a water bottle, walking shoes and to wear comfortable clothing for movement i.e. Leggings and a tee shirt.

Calling all parents, care-givers, and day-care providers! Bring your babies and toddlers for a fun half hour of stories, rhymes, and songs! 

Learn how to express yourself clearly and imaginatively, share your work, and respond to the stories of others. Attend any or all sessions. Facilitated by Misty Yarnall. This program is online and conducted via Zoom.

[For ages 5-14] Calling all little Makers! Along with access to all of the Albany Made Lab equipment, Mini Makers will be able to use some of our favorite Youth Services gadgets and tools.

Bring your knitting, crochet, needle work, coloring, or any other craft you've been working on to our monthly meeting where we talk, laugh, and enjoy some relaxing music.
