[Ages 5-11] Let's play with paint! Let's try our hand at splatter painting & blow painting- a couple of unique forms of creating art. Registration is necessary; please call the library at 518-427-4300 ext. 4 to sign up, or register online.

[Ages 5-10]  Come make a snow person from a sock.    This warm friend will melt your heart!

Join us after school every third Thursday of the month for different projects and crafts at our Crafternoons!

[For ages 18+] Are you a fiber crafter? Does your family have all the hand knitted or crocheted hats, scarves, mittens, or shawls that they could possibly use in this lifetime?

[For Adults] Calling all artisans and handcrafters, it's time to start that business! Join us to explore the essential steps to entrepreneurship.

[For Ages 6 - 14] Calling all little Makers! Along with access to all of the Albany Made Lab equipment, Mini Makers will be abke to use some of our favorite Youth Services gadgets and tools.

[Ages 0-5] Bring your preschooler to create with clay at the library! Registration is necessary; register online or call 518-427-4300 ext. 4 to reserve a spot. 

[Adults 18+] We welcome any kind of knitting, crocheting, quilting or needlework. Is it a hobby that you enjoyed in the past and would like to get back to? You can bring a project that you’re working on, or one that you want to start.

[Ages 7-11]  What's a Shrinky Dink? Big fun!  Color a picture on "magic" plastic, then shrink it in the oven.   Now you have a cute charm for your backpack!

 [Ages 5-17 and Families] Come make slime at the library! Clear or opaque, with a range of colors to choose from!

[Ages 5-11] Come celebrate Lunar New Year; it'll be the Year of the Snake on January 29th! All we'll have different snake-themed craft stations and science experiments.

[For children 0-8 and their caregivers.] Today is Take Your Child to the Library Day and we're celebrating glow-in-the-dark style! Join us for a special "Glowing Readers" storytime and glow-in-the-dark crafts.

[All Ages] During the months of Janurary and February the library will be providing coloring sheetsthat celebrate Black culture, history, and identity in the past present and future.

What could be any nicer than giving someone you love a hand-made Valentine's Day card? Join Miss Virginia for a fun, relaxing evening while making Valentine's Day cards out of cardstock, do-dads, paper doilies and LOVE!
