Week Calendar

[Ages 4-8] Join us with Barbara Lukas from WMHT to enjoy the story of Deep in the Swamp by Donna M. Bateman and make some crafts to take home! Plus, you can take the book!

Registration is required as supplies and space are limited.

[Ages 5-11] Become a Library Scientist and together we will explore the world through STEM! 

[For All Ages] Calling all Artists, Musicians, Crafters, Makers and Menders! Stop by the self-directed open Makerspace and start (or finish) something!

[Ages 7-12] Take a break from screens and come to the library and participate in a series of fun activities led by our library staff.

[For ages 4-14.] Why did the chicken cross the road? To get to the library! Meet a hen and a rooster, and learn how to take care of eggs as they grow chicks, with George Steele. 

[Ages 3-7 and their Caregivers] Barbara Lukas is here to share crafts and activities about "The Very Hungry Caterpillar", a favorite book about growing and changing, (and lots of eating.)  You will bring home a copy of the book to keep! 

[for ages 6-14] Calling all little Makers! Along with access to all of the Albany Made Lab equipment, Mini Makers will be able to use some of our favorite Youth Services gadgets and tools.

Interested in learning how to create objects for 3D printing? Join us for an introduction to the basic concepts and the Tinkercad modeling program.

[Ages  7-12] What is "Yarn Painting"?  We create shapes with yarn and glue them onto a canvas background, creating a textured piece of art.
