Week Calendar

Local author Shakeema Funchess will read her book, Pinkster Parade, and talk about her inspiration for writing the book. Schuyler Mansion staff will then lead a paper beading workshop, appropriate for all ages and families.

[For ages 18+] Are you a fiber crafter? Does your family have all the hand knitted or crocheted hats, scarves, mittens, or shawls that they could possibly use in this lifetime?

[Adult] Join us at Bach where we will have collage art classes where you learn the technique and have fun while doing so. 

[For All Ages] Calling all Artists, Musicians, Crafters, Makers and Menders! Stop by the self-directed open Makerspace and start (or finish) something!

We will color a picture on your popsicle stick "canvas". Then mix the popsicle sticks to together and put the "pieces" back together to form your original drawing. It's a puzzle that you get to design the picture and color yourself! 

[Ages 7-12] Take a break from screens and come to the library and participate in a series of fun activities led by our library staff.

We have video games, anime, and potential make crafts! A place to hang with friends after school.

[For ages 6-14] Calling all little Makers! Along with access to all of the Albany Made Lab equipment, Mini Makers will be able to use some of our favorite Youth Services gadgets and tools.

Join us every Tuesday after school for crafts and fun at Arbor Hill West Hill!

[Ages 5-12]  Meet Nina, the dog!  A Cornell Educator is bringing her dog, Nina to Bach.  We will learn all about pet care and best of all we can pet Nina's soft fur.

Join us after school twice a month for different projects and crafts at our Crafternoons! 
Supplies are limited. First come, first served.  

[Ages 5-11] Become a Library Scientist and together we will explore the world through STEM!

Explore the cosmos from the comfort of your local library! Through crafts, experiments, presentations and more, we will learn about the vast universe we inhabit. Expand your knowledge and hang out with fellow outer-space lovers.

Kiara Johnson from Albany Barn will walk us through painting your wonderful pets in your life! Please bring one of your favorite photos of them as reference.

[Ages 11+] If you just got your first camera or are an avid photographer, come join our new all-skills welcome program as we will discuss the art and technique of Photography.
