Program Description

Event Details

[For Adults] Did you know that January is National Get Organized Month? Help us celebrate with an art supply and craft swap! This event invites crafters and artists of all skill levels to bring their handmade items, craft supplies, and tools to exchange with fellow enthusiasts. Whether you’re a seasoned artisan or just starting your crafting journey, this is a perfect opportunity to declutter, discover new materials, and connect with like-minded individuals.

Participants are encouraged to bring a selection of their own handcrafted items and surplus supplies. Items can include anything from yarn and handmade jewelry to fabrics, beads, paints, paper, and tools in gently used, new, or otherwise good condition. You do not need to bring anything to attend the swap, but it is encouraged.

What NOT to bring: Anything moldy, dirty, or extremely heavy. Hazardous materials such as oil-based solvents, dry paint tubes, or house paint should stay at home.

For questions or to schedule a time to drop off donations in advance, contact Kyle Keefe at washington@albanypubliclibrary.org. Anything left-over will be donated to Grassroots Givers or used for library programming. No registration.

*STEM/STEAM programs involve programming that covers Science, Technology, Engineering, (Arts) and Math.
