Event Details
In honor of Shakespeare Week, the William Kempe Players are performing a 90-minute reading of Shakespeare’s Macbeth at the Washington Avenue Branch. The adaptation, created by Dan Smirlock, focuses on the relationship between Macbeth and his Lady while making the politics and the interactions with the supernatural a bit more streamlined, while committing to the language and action of Shakespeare.
Will Kempe’s Players is an “Original Practices” Shakespeare company; using—as much possible—the texts, rehearsal, and staging practices of the early modern period.
