Event Details

Enjoy a unique musical experience where jazz and literature combine.

The Arch Stanton Quartet draws upon the music and writings of Paul Bowles, including his deeply evocative novel about travel in North Africa, "The Sheltering Sky." This performance includes jazz arrangements of Bowles' musical compositions from the first half of the 20th century, excerpts from his writings, plus new compositions to create a soundscape of music and spoken word.
