[For ages 0-18 months] Bring your baby and bounce along to fun stories, songs, and rhymes. Baby Storytime is a 15-minute program, followed by a relaxed playtime where you and baby will meet new friends.

Come to Howe to make a lovely Mother's Day card to tell your mother or other caregiver in your life how much you care. Ask for the card base at the desk!

[For adults] The City of Albany's Department of Neighborhood Services wants to hear from you! Please stop by the Pine Hills Branch to meet with Ken Louzier, the Neighborhood Specialist for Pine Hills. 

[Adults] Susan Riback, Community Health Nurse Educator for the NNORC, is available for blood pressure checks, education on health topics, Therapeutic Touch and other health concerns.

[For Ages 4-8] Become a member of our weekly book club! Parents will receive support and guidance on early literacy practices, including how to support their readers at home.

Join us after school twice a month for different projects and crafts at our Crafternoons! In May we are making flower fans and trinket boxes. In June we are making Paper Bag Ice cream cones and Supplies are limited.

Students’ grades K-12 can meet with a student tutor from the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and University at Albany for a half an hour tutoring session. Tutors can offer homework help, worksheets, and test prep.  

[For Adults and Children Ages 6+] Calling all Artists, Crafters, Makers and Menders! Stop by the self-directed open Makerspace and start (or finish) something!

Learn the fun and colorful activity of flower hammering – the art of gently hammering flower petals and leaves to create unique patterns and vibrant designs on watercolor paper. Just in time for Mother's Day, too!

[For ages 6-14] Minecraft beginners and experts: come build your world and characters in a weekly Minecraft competition with your friends! 

May the 4th be with your responses to Star Wars trivia! No jedi mind tricks allowed! Whether a wookie, ewok or padawan-- all are welcome to test their knowledge of Star Wars. Trivia questions will come from live action movies only.
