Week Calendar

[For ages 0-2] Please join Youth Services staff for stories, fingerplays, songs, and rhymes for the youngest children, from birth to eighteen months. 

[For ages 0-4] Please join us in the Large Meeting Room for stories, fingerplays, songs and rhymes for babies, toddlers and preschoolers, and their caregivers.

[Ages 2-6 and their Caregivers]  Come on over to Bach for a fun and interactive Storytime full of singing and movement. After the Storytime there will be time for free play!

[Ages 2-5] Come on down to the historic Howe Branch of the Albany Public library for a read-along, sing-along Storytime.

[For adults] English as a new language can be challenging and there is always room for improvement.

[For ages 0 - 5 and their caregivers] Hang out with us for a weekly bilingual storytime with your favorite fuzzy monster, Gruff, and his librarian side-kick. We'll be reading books and singing songs in both English and Spanish.

[Ages 2-5] Join us for stories, songs & fun for preschoolers and their caregivers every week at the Delaware Branch. No registration required.

[Ages 0-24 months] Join Ms Melissa for fun songs and short books to introduce your baby to storytime! We will meet in the community room, and babies and their caregivers are welcome to stay and play after storytime.

[For ages 0-5] Calling parents, care-givers, and day-care providers! Bring your babies and toddlers for a fun half hour of music stories and dance with Gruff the Storytime Monster! 

[For Adults of all ages and abilities] Relax and De-stress with Tai Chi.

[Ages 18+] Would you like to update or create a résumé? Need help tweaking or writing a cover letter? The Delaware Branch offers one-on-one sessions every Thursday between 12-1pm. Registration for your appointment is required.

[Adults]  Do you have question about your device? One-on-One Computer Skills Group is designed for individuals who want some extra help with their device or computer!

[For ages 18+] Are you a fiber crafter? Does your family have all the hand knitted or crocheted hats, scarves, mittens, or shawls that they could possibly use in this lifetime?

[For adults] Schedule a 1 hour, one-on-one appointment with the Librarian for assistance with your technology questions. We can help from how to use your phone to computers. Please have your questions ready before the appointment.

[Ages 3-6 and their Caregivers]  Drop in to Bach for some inclusive process art!  We will use a variety of materials, including paint, scissors and natural objects.    Come on in for some fine motor, sensory fun.

[For Adults] Join us for a free movie screening with coffee and snacks, and the chance to talk to community services providers!

[Teens and Adults] Dungeons & Dragons has been around for decades, but with the recent movie Honor Among Thieves, and TV shows Critical Role and Stranger Things, its popularity is at an all-time high.

Learn how to express yourself clearly and imaginatively, share your work, and respond to the stories of others. Attend any or all sessions. Facilitated by Misty Yarnall.

[All Ages] Join us for winter music concert with flute and harp duo Stringwynde!

[Ages 4+] Use your imagination and free play with our Legos or build a complete set. This is a drop-in program. No registration required. This program recurs on the first Thursday of each month.

[For Ages 7-17] Come enjoy this new spin on lego building! we are buying brand new kits from the Lego City collection and making new buildings to put on display in children's room. This collaborative build will also include refreshments!

[For Teens] Do you feel alone in this world? Like no one understands your interest of anime? Well join the Anime Club! We, as an accepting and welcoming club, understand your passion for anime. We also have video games available, too!

[For Ages 5 -0 17] This event is designed for families who have children with autism that would like to experience seeing a movie in a sensory friendly environment.

[Ages 11-17] We've got Super Smash, Minecraft, Rocket League and more! Play with or against your friends!

[For Ages 5-11] Refresh with a tasty after school snack then enjoy a variety of different toys, games, and activities!

Sewing repair assistance and learn to use a sewing machine with help from Stitching Exchange!

Bach is having Fun@4!  Make a magic wand that you will want to make disappear.  It's a chocloate covered pretzel!  We will also learn a magic trick.  Start thinking of your magic words.

[For ages: Adults] Want to add a wintery theme art into your decor this season? Why not add a Winter Tree Wreath! We will have supplies available for you to create your own colorful design.

[For adults] Each month, join us for a new 1-hour documentary film screening followed by a moderated community conversation organized by WMHT. All films will eventually air on PBS's Independent Lens. 

[All Ages] Join us in the Community Room of the Delaware Avenue Branch for a special performance of live jazz.
