[For ages 0-18 months] Please join us in our Youth Services Room for stories, fingerplays, songs, and rhymes for children ages 0 to 18 months and their caregiver.

Join us at the North Albany branch for our monthly yap and craft sesh! Bring your current knitting, crochet, needle point, or other fiber arts craft. New to fiber arts? We can teach you the basics!

[Ages 2-5] Come on down to the historic Howe Branch of the Albany Public library for Stories, Songs, Dancing, Playtime and Crafts!

Chair yoga is a modified form of yoga that is accessible to people of all fitness levels and abilities. It is designed for those who may have difficulty standing or moving on the floor.

Calling all parents, care-givers, and day-care providers! Bring your babies and toddlers for a fun half hour of stories, rhymes, and songs! 

[For Adults] This class is designed for adult newcomers to Albany who have some basic English language skills and are looking to improve their fluency and communication abilities.

Are you a fiber crafter? Does your family have all the hand knitted or crocheted hats, scarves, mittens, or shawls that they could possibly use in this lifetime? Do you have a passion and skill for making hand-knitted or crocheted garments?

Need to revamp your resume? Writing a resume for the first time? Sign up for a one-on-one resume session with a library staff member. We'll cover content, formatting, and the basics of cover letters.

Registration is required.

Bring your latest fiber art project and meet with like-minded crafty people. Open to beginners as librarian Jamie O. will have needles and yarn to teach the basics of knitting and crochet. No registration necessary.

[For Adults] In Our Own Voices, Inc provides free HIV and HEP C testing. No registration or appointment required. Free and discreet. 

The City of Albany's Department of Neighborhood Services wants to hear from you! Please stop by the Delaware Branch to meet with Shneecka Alexander, the Neighborhood Specialist for the Delaware neighborhood. 

[For ages 6+] Have you ever wanted to learn origami but don't know where to start? Us too! Join us as we look at helpful beginner resources and learn the basics of origami together.

Bored? No, board!

Pick a board game from our extensive collection to play with your friends! Play a classic like Connect-4, Uno, or Sorry, or learn something new like Ticket to Ride or Dixit!

[For ages 9-17] Play various video games including Smash Brothers, Tekken, NBA 2K22 on the Nintendo Switch or PS4 with your friends! 

[For ages 5-14] Calling all little Makers! Along with access to all of the Albany Made Lab equipment, Mini Makers will be able to use some of our favorite Youth Services gadgets and tools.

Join us every Tuesday after school for crafts and fun at Arbor Hill West Hill!

[For children ages 5-17.] Meet certified therapy dog, Duke! We'll learn all about what a therapy dog does, plus we'll get the chance to play games and read books to him!

[For Ages 10 to 17] A space welcoming all gamers age 10 to 17. Come play our Nintendo Switch on a big screen. Compete with others in multi-player chaos with up to 8 players at once!

[For Adults and Children Ages 6+] Calling all Artists, Crafters, Makers and Menders! Stop by the self-directed open Makerspace and start (or finish) something!

[For Ages 13-17] Clash your favorite gaming icons in the ultimate showdown. Tweens and Teens are invited to bring their friends and play Super Smash. Come see if you are good enough to beat our library gamers!

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and this year's theme is "In Every Story, There's Strength." What strengths can you find in your own stories?
