[Adults] Get in-person tax help and file for free! New York State Tax Department employees will walk you through your income tax returns, step-by-step, as you complete your own tax return. It's quick and easy! Sessions are available on Mondays from 10:30am-5:30pm at the Washington Ave branch, 161 Washington Avenue. 

Preregistration is required and you must schedule an appointment. For information, a list of necessary documents, or to schedule a session, talk to a Tax Department site coordinator visit www.tax.ny.gov/tap/.

  • Use on-site computers, or your own laptop, tablet, or mobile device.
  • You only need basic computer skills and an active email account.
  • If you earned $73,000 or less in 2023, you qualify.
