Wellness Series: How to Put Down Your Phone - Ancient tips for managing a busy mind and a busy world

Like me . . . do you get completely distracted by your busy mind, the phone, news, and endless doom scrolling?

This is a four-week series where we'll practice sitting and walking meditation and we'll experiment with putting down our phones, dive into the art of doing nothing, and identify the stories behind procrastination. We'll also explore how the attention economy is specifically designed to heighten our distraction.

Elissa Kane is a distracted meditator on sabbatical who's been reading a lot lately including Jenny Odell's book "How to do Nothing - Resisting the Attention Economy" and Pema Chodron's "When Things Fall Apart."
